a two to four (2-4) minute speech on a special activity. Use the six to eight
(6-8) sentence paragraph on “A Special Activity” from ENG 085, and Chapter 8, “Tastes and Preferences,” in Tanka, J. & Baker, L.
(2007), Interactions 2: A
listening/speaking skills book (5th ed.).
Present
a speech in which you:
- Describe an activity
you like to do as a volunteer or just for your own enjoyment.
- Explain the reasons
you are involved in the activity.
- Explain some
challenges or disadvantages of the activity.
- Describe your
positive feelings about the activity.
- Apply rules for
formal and informal Standard American English pronunciation, intonation,
stress, and reductions in spoken communication.
- Present orally
within a two to four (2-4) minute time limit.

- Be presented orally

- Submit an outline of
four (4) major points with sub points.
- Be typed, double
spaced, using Times New Roman font (size 12), with one-inch margins on all
