Prepare a two to four (2-4) minute speech on a special activity. Use the six to eight (6-8) sentence paragraph on “A Special Activity” from ENG 085, and Chapter 8, “Tastes and Preferences,” in Tanka, J. & Baker, L. (2007), Interactions 2: A listening/speaking skills book (5th ed.).

Present a speech in which you:

1. Describe an activity you like to do as a volunteer or just for your own enjoyment.
2. Explain the reasons you are involved in the activity.
3. Explain some challenges or disadvantages of the activity.
4. Describe your positive feelings about the activity.
5. Apply rules for formal and informal Standard American English pronunciation, intonation, stress, and reductions in spoken communication.
6. Present orally within a two to four (2-4) minute time limit.
